A person subject to self-isolation in the Incheon area was arrested in Ulsan after 9 hours after fleeing on the highway.

According to the Ulsan Provincial Police Agency on the 19th, a person subject to self-isolation, A (59), was arrested by the police at Hwabong Intersection in Buk-gu, Ulsan City, around 2:43 pm that day.

Mr. A drove his own freight car from Incheon to Ulsan via Gyeongbu Expressway and National Highway 7 around 5 am that day.

Mr. A previously attended a worship service at Sarangjeil Church in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, and from the 13th, he left an apartment in Namdong-gu, Incheon without permission during self-isolation.

He was reported to have shown a non-cooperative attitude, saying, "I'm out to work," on a phone call with an official in charge at around 10 am that day.

The official in charge reported to the police that Mr. A, who could not be reached after the phone call was cut off.

On the 16th of this month, Mr. A was tested for a Corona 19 specimen at the screening clinic at the Namdong-gu public health center, and it was confirmed that he received a negative test on the same day.

The Ulsan Police used the wanted vehicle search system (WASS) to identify Mr. A's escape route and then urgently deployed his career in the Ulsan Buk-gu area to arrest Mr. A.
