Norway's cross-country star Johannes Høsflot Klæbo has won his second title at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld. The 22-year-old won in the team sprint over 6 x 1.6 kilometers with his teammate Emil Iversen before the Russians Gleb Retiwich and Alexander Bolschunov (+1.88 seconds), who had won the silver medal in the ski championship. Bronze went to the Italians Federico Pellegrino and Francesco de Fabiani (+4.03 seconds).

Klæbo had already won the title in the sprint at the start of the World Ski Championships. He is thus the first athlete at the World Championships in Tyrol, who has won two gold medals. Overall, it is the third medal for the Norwegian at Nordic World Ski Championships (bronze 2017 in Lahti in the sprint). At the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang Klæbo last year won sprint, team sprint and the relay.

The German duo Sebastian Eisenlauer and Janosch Brugger already failed in the semifinals. "The team is twice as bitter, and if I were alone, I'd say, well, 'idiot'," said Brugger, who had broken a lot on his last lap. Eisenlauer said after the sporting disappointment: "It was not the best day of both of us."
