In the Premier League Premier League, Manchester United and Liverpool have been tied. Jürgen Klopps Reds were in a scoreless game, the dominant team with more possession and better pass rate. Nevertheless, it was not enough for the first league defeat of Manchester Interim coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Liverpool has only three wins from the past nine competitive matches. The Reds are again in the championship standings due to the draw and United remain in fifth place.

The game started hectic with great physical effort. Instead of playing the game, there were many injured: United's Ander Herrera had to give way to Brazilian Andres Pereira in the 21st minute because of muscular problems in the right thigh.

Shortly after, Manchester's Juan Mata limped off and Jesse Lingard came in (25th minute). After only 17 minutes on the pitch but he also had injured out, so all three change options for the Red Devils were already consumed in the first round. Alexis Sánchez came into play for Lingard. Also on the part of the guests there was an injury-related exchange - Roberto Firmino had fallen over, Klopp brought Daniel Sturridge (31) as a substitute.

Crikey, more substitutions than shots on target in the first half.

Only shortly before the break, the first goal chance came: After a quick counterattack Romelu Lukaku was through Lingard in the Liverpool penalty area with a lot of overview, but goalkeeper Alisson (41.) grabbed the ball off his feet. Also in the second 45 minutes there were no top-class opportunities on both sides.
