The Dortmund police has initiated a criminal case for attempted dangerous bodily injury to Jadon Sancho. The offensive player of the BVB had been hit in the derby in the jubilation in front of the Schalke fan block after the opening goal by Mario Götze of a lighter on the head, then collapsed together and then had to be treated briefly. The Englishman could continue afterwards.
Also around the Bundesliga, the police had some work. A total of 13 people were arrested and 36 criminal charges reimbursed - including for violations of the Explosives Act, bodily harm and breach of the peace. A police officer suffered minor injuries.
To a tasteless poster of the Schalke fans now expressed the club board. "We are stunned by this lack of taste and have apologized to the management of the BVB.There is rivalry to a Revierderby, but also respect.We expect such unworthy verbal attacks will be omitted in the future.They have no place at FC Schalke 04," it said in a message from the Royal Blues.
Freedom was demanded on the poster for Sergei W., who was sentenced last year to 14 years imprisonment because of the attack on the BVB team bus in April 2017. Former Dortmunder Bundesliga professional Marc Bartra had reacted shaken on the poster.
