Japan Airlines Ishikawa High School, whose school is located in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, which was severely damaged by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, has decided to participate in the Senbatsu High School Baseball, and has made arrangements to hold a pre-tournament training camp in Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture. I found out that we are making progress.

Japan Airlines Ishikawa High School, which will participate in the Senbatsu High School Baseball Tournament to be held at Koshien Stadium this March, has moved its practice base to Yamanashi Prefecture, where it has an affiliated school, after its school in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, was affected by the disaster.

Regarding this, it has been learned that the school is making arrangements to hold a pre-tournament training camp in Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture.

Anan City, which is working to revitalize the town through baseball, has been inviting high school baseball teams from Ishikawa and Fukui prefectures, where practice is difficult during the winter due to snow, to hold training camps. They had offered support to the Ishikawa Prefecture High School Baseball Federation.

According to the city, when the city contacted them on the 26th, when it was decided that they would be participating in the Senbatsu tournament, they were informed by the head of the Japan Airlines Ishikawa High School baseball club of their intention to hold a training camp.

The training camp is expected to be held in early March, and the city and school are currently working on the detailed schedule and adjusting the number of participants.

The Anan City Baseball Town Promotion Division said, ``We would like to have them come to our training camp and provide them with hospitality before the tournament. We hope they will play an active role at Koshien, along with the local Anan Hikari High School, which has been selected to participate in the Senbatsu.''
