The Swedish coach Pablo Piñones-Arce helped build Hammarby into a top women's Swedish team.
Piñones-Arce led Bajen to a historic double last year and just before the season came the shock news that the coach chooses to leave his position.
Since then, there has been a lot of speculation about his future, and Aftonbladet was the first to write about an attempt to bring the Swede in as an assistant to General Manager Alex Singer in the Houston Dash.
SVT Sport can now reveal that the Swede is ready as technical director for the Houston Dash - and also applied for the head coaching job, where the club, however, chose another candidate.
If nothing unforeseen happens, it is expected to be official shortly.
Piñones-Arce is already in Houston to complete the deal.
Piñones-Arce joined Hammarby in 2020 and was part of the elite team up to the women's league.
