Professional boxer Tenshin Nasukawa fought against a world-ranked fighter for the first time and won by technical knockout, his first since his boxing debut.

Nasukawa turned to boxing last year after having won all 47 fights in martial arts such as kickboxing, and had won two consecutive bouts by decision since his debut.

On the 23rd, in Osaka, he fought Mexico's Luis Robles, who is ranked 14th in both the WBA (World Boxing Association) and WBO (World Boxing Organization) bantamweight divisions, in an eight-round format at his contracted weight.

From the second round onwards, Nasukawa took control, focusing on combinations that included a right jab and then a left to the body of Nasukawa.

Afterwards, his opponent injured his right ankle, so he was unable to get up from his chair when the gong rang to begin the fourth round, resulting in his first technical knockout win in his third boxing debut.

On the other hand, Kenshiro Terachi, the unified light flyweight champion in two groups, faced Carlos Cañizares of Venezuela, ranked No. 1 in the WBA.

From the beginning, they each fought for a knockdown, and from the middle onwards, Terachi continued to land blows to the body, and there was also a scene where he was cornered near the ropes and was hit with consecutive punches. He won and successfully defended the unified title for the third time.

Also, in his first world title fight, No. 1 ranked WBA flyweight Masago Yuri Akui became the new world champion by defeating world champion Artem Darakian of Ukraine with a 3-0 decision.

Nasukawa: “We will firmly aim for the world”

Tenshin Nasukawa couldn't believe that his opponent did not come out of the corner even after the gong rang, and when it was announced that he had won by technical knockout, he muttered "seriously" over and over again in the ring. It was like that.

In the interview that followed, Nasukawa said, ``I'm confident that I'm really getting stronger.I'll keep getting stronger, so I'd be happy if you could support me.''

Regarding competing at a weight limit between the super bantamweight division at which he made his boxing debut and the one-level lower bantamweight division, he said, ``I really feel that I can compete at the lower bantamweight division. There are many strong fighters in Japan, but "We will firmly aim for the world."

Terachi: “I was strong and desperate.”

Kenshiro Terachi, who defended his unified title, said, ``Cañizares was extremely strong and I was desperate.I regret not being able to do the boxing that I wanted to do, but I am also relieved.I feel like I can start over from scratch again. Looking back on the match, he said, ``I'm here.''

Yuri Akui: “I think this belt was won by everyone.”

Masago Yuri Akui, who became the new world champion, said of his opponent Darakian, ``He was a great human being who faced a difficult opponent, and he is a boxer and a human being that I would have respected all my life if I had never faced him, but since it is a match, I have no emotion.'' "I did everything I could," he said.

He also became the first champion from his gym in Okayama Prefecture, expressing his joy, saying, ``It's the championship belt I've been waiting for, and it's the belt that all my seniors at the gym wanted.I think it's a belt that we all won together.'' .
