Andreas Palicka was back from the start between the posts and accounted for a couple of nice parades right away.

Then Portugal switched gears and it was initially a swinging event.

Glenn Solberg acted and replaced Tobias Thulin between the posts.

That change bore fruit and Sweden was able to regain command.

The goal-rich half ended 19–15 in Sweden's favour.

Thulin nailed it again

In the second half, Tobias Thulin continued to grow and lined up saves (ten in total in the match).

At the same time, blue and yellow could effectively produce forward through Felix Claar and Jim Gottfridsson, who were in the mood to play, while Lucas Pellas was rock solid from the penalty spot.

The victory numbers were finally written at 40–33 and Sweden thus has one foot in a semi-final.

If Norway loses against Denmark later tonight, the semi-final place is secured.
