The second Russian ice jumping championship ended on Sunday, January 21, with team competitions.

Despite the entertaining nature of the event, the skaters approached it more than seriously: they tried to demonstrate the maximum of their capabilities, cried because of failures, and did not give up fighting even after painful falls.

The captains of the two teams were known in advance - Dmitry Kozlovsky for the “blues” and Alexander Gallyamov for the “reds” - and the lineups were determined in front of the spectators.

Kozlovsky invited Margarita Bazylyuk, Sofya Muravyova, Maria Gordeeva, Lev Lazarev, Evgeny Semenenko, Ivan Popov and Ekaterina Chikmareva - Matvey Yanchenkov to his team.

Also joining the “blues” was Dmitry Aliev, who was given the opportunity to choose his own team.

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva had the same right, and she chose the “Reds”.

Also included in Gallyamov’s team were Adelia Petrosyan, Elena Kostyleva, Ekaterina Koltsova, Arseny Fedotov, Vladislav Dikidzhi, Pyotr Gumennik and Elizaveta Osokina - Artem Gritsaenko.

The competition was held in five stages, for each of which, except the first, three participants from each team were entered.

At the start, the captains along with their better halves, as well as two other sports couples, had to show off their skills.

The set of elements required for the performance included two twists, two different throws, two cascades of two jumps or one of three.

There was only one attempt for each element.

Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky again, as in the individual tournament the day before, risked performing a quadruple throw, but the insidious element did not submit to them.

However, despite the low scores of the two-time Russian champions, at the end of the stage the “blue” team still took the lead, since Osokina and Gritsaenko from the “red” smeared the cascade and received even lower scores.

The other two couples coped with their attempts flawlessly.

In the second round, the singles entered the game and had to perform two different triple jumps.

It was here that the long-awaited return of Tuktamysheva took place, but she unexpectedly fell from the Lutz and made a blot on the exit from the flip.

Tatyana Tarasova, who commented on the competition, was surprised at this turn of events and said that she didn’t even remember the last time she saw Elizabeth fall.

The ex-world champion herself was also slightly discouraged.

“It worked better on the show.

Really exciting.

This is not exactly a comeback - I think it will be much more successful than these attempts.

But it’s still cool to be here and feel the competitive adrenaline,” noted the Empress.

She received almost ten points less than Muravyova, who effortlessly did a trixel and lutz.

Both juniors, nominated for this stage by the teams Koltsov and Gordeev, were not pleased with their clean performance either, so it was up to the men to decide the outcome of the round.

Dikidzhi calmly did a triple axel and lutz for the “red”, but Aliyev, after a similar ultra-c element, landed on two feet.

But after the performance, Dmitry decided to please the audience and performed a backflip, drawing a storm of applause.

After the second stage, the “reds” took a little lead - 76.31 versus 75.42 points.

In the third round, the task for the single skaters became even more complicated - they had to perform jumps in four rotations.

The only girl in this six was Petrosyan, who easily made a flip, but slightly blurred the sheepskin coat, as a result of which she lost to Lazarev, who calmly recorded a perfect lutz and sheepskin coat in his score.

The next two participants - Popov and Dikidzhi - had difficulties with the Salchow, but they performed their second jumps (toe loop and Lutz, respectively) with good results.

The decisive thing in the round was the duel between Semenenko and Gumennik, who have long been competing with each other for the title of the best skater in the country.

Mishina's student won twice in this confrontation at the Russian championships, but this time the victory in the head-to-head dispute went to Peter.

He performed the Salchow and Littberger to the standard and was 2.48 points ahead of his opponent.

“He came out and decided everything, like Peter the Great,” Gallyamov commented on his teammate’s performance.

At the same time, the overall advantage of the “reds” remained minimal - only 0.27 points.

In the fourth round it was time for the cascades.

There had to be two of them (or one cascade and one sequence), and the first jumps in each should be different, and the total number of elements should not exceed three.

The stage began with a mutual violation of the rules.

First, Fedotov performed two combinations with an axel, instead of one, as a result of which he lost points, and then Muravyova stepped on the same rake.

It turned out that the teams were not aware of the nuances of the regulations, so the next participants had to change the set of jumps on the go.

“Our team didn’t know this when Arseny jumped - he told us that they gave him about ten points less, and he didn’t understand why.

Then Dima has Sonya on his team.

And I approached Alexander Ilyich (Kogan, general director of the FFKKR. -

), thank you for the fact that he was able to advise so quickly so that Kostyleva would not jump the snipe a second time,” Gallyamov explained after the end of the competition.

Elena brilliantly made a sequence of quadruple Salchow, triple toe loop and double Axel, as well as a triple lutz - triple toe loop - double toe loop cascade.

Coupled with the fact that Semenenko and Petrosyan did not perform their attempts very confidently, Igor Lyutikov’s student could have had the highest score in this round, but the newly crowned Russian jumping champion Margarita Bazylyuk earned cosmic points.

The 12-year-old figure skater performed a cascade of toe loops - a quadruple and two triple ones, as well as a combination of a quadruple Salchow, triple toe loop and snipe.

For such a set, the judges gave Tutberidze’s ward 40.86 points, which is 7.58 higher than Kostyleva’s.

However, before the final stage, the “reds” strengthened their advantage to almost four points.

Now the athletes had to demonstrate cascades or combinations that included no more than five jumps.

“Now there will be a grandiose denouement,” said the captain of the “reds” Gallyamov in anticipation, but the fight as such, alas, did not work out.

First, Popov and Fedotov exchanged mistakes in their attempts, and after another brilliant performance by Bazylyuk, Kostyleva took to the ice.

The bronze medalist of the individual tournament had not missed a single jump until that moment, but this time she fell hard from a quadruple Salchow and hurt her elbow.

The athlete approached the coach in tears, but did not give up fighting.

Elena was immediately frozen, and she made another attempt, but fell again.

As a result, the “Reds” received only 7.8 points for this performance, which automatically removed all questions about the winner.

Of course, all the participants supported Kostyleva, and the captain of her team, Gallyamov, especially noted that the girl still has everything ahead in sports, so she shouldn’t take what happened to heart.

Thus, Kozlovsky’s team won the competition and received the coveted prize of 5 million rubles.

The bonus for second place was 3 million. It is worth noting that for the first time in the history of such team tournaments of the FFKKR (if you count the Channel One Cup), the victory went to the “blues”.

“The golden rule: whose team Trankov helps, loses,” Kozlovsky jokingly said about this at a press conference.
