It has been a very special competition after the first run in Jasná.

The World Cup leader in giant slalom, the Italian Federica Brignone, was the first rider out for the day - but ran out.

Sara Hector who had the starting number three then took a huge lead.

The Swede finished 2.97 seconds ahead of the Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami.

- Lara had no major worries, but there was still a class difference.

A really powerful ride by Sara, said the TV commentators.

Home jump Petra Vlhova then became the next star to run out and suddenly two of Hector's biggest competitors were gone.

Many other riders had problems and the Italian Marta Bassino, for example, was more than eight seconds behind Hector at the finish line.

Mikaela Shiffrin is second after the first run, but is just one second behind Hector.

New Zealand's Alice Robinson is third, 1.05 behind the leader.

The first ride is underway.
