Manchester City went to a point drop at home to Tottenham after a late equaliser from Dejan Kulusevski. But Erling Haaland found Jack Grealish on a counter-attack in the 94th minute and thought the Englishman was in position to score the winning goal.

Then head referee Simon Hooper suddenly blew the whistle for a free kick.

That was not appreciated by the City players who immediately swarmed over Hooper. The angriest of all was Erling Haaland.

"They wonder 'how can you blow in that situation?'" says Viaplay's commentator Henrik Strömblad.

"I understand that there are upsets, of course he should wait for that advantage. It's extremely poor understanding of the game," says Viaplay's expert Martin Åslund.

After the game, City manager Pep Guardiola was also annoyed by the incident.

"The referee first shows the advantage, then he blows the whistle after the pass. I don't understand," he said, according to Sky Sports.
