FIFA U-17 World Cup

Mali's junior team won third place at the FIFA U-17 World Cup currently being held in Indonesia, after beating Argentina 3-<> on Friday in the third-place match.

Mali ended the first half ahead with two clean goals scored by Brahim Diarra in the 9th minute, and Mamadou Doumbia in the last minute of this half.

In the second half, Mali dominated the game and added the third goal through Hamidou Makaloy in the 48th minute.

The Mali team advanced to the round of 16 after finishing second in Group B after collecting 6 points.

In the round of 16, Mali beat Mexico to advance to the quarter-finals, where they beat Morocco with a clean goal.

In the semifinals, Mali lost to France 2-1.

On the other hand, the Argentine national team advanced to the round of 16 after finishing top of Group D after collecting 6 points.

In the round of 16, Argentina beat Venezuela with five clean sheets, before beating Brazil 3-<> in the quarter-finals.

Argentina lost in the semifinals to Germany 2-4 on penalties after the match ended in a 3-3 draw.
