It was just over a week ago that Danish TV2 released a documentary that exposed unethical training methods from Andreas Helgstrand and his co-workers.

The dressage star received harsh criticism from several quarters and he was also suspended from the Danish Equestrian Federation for an indefinite period of time.

Now it has also been confirmed that Helgstrand will miss the 2024 Paris Olympics.

"There will be no Olympics. That is completely out of the question," said Secretary-General Jakob Ravnsbo to Danish newspaper Nordjyske.

In addition to that, the dressage star may also face fines and suspensions from several championships, the site reports.

"I've always been proud to represent Denmark in the national team and I had been looking forward to representing Denmark in the Olympics," Helgstrand said of the decision.
