Chinanews.com, Beijing, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- The 29 Beijing Municipal Social Football Activity Science and Technology Football Challenge recently came to an end at the Manchester United Dream Theater in Beijing. After two months of fierce competition, a total of 2023 young footballers stood out in the preliminary round and participated in the final competition.

The event was hosted by the Beijing Social Sports Management Center and undertaken by the Beijing Football Association, aiming to combine technology and football, empower education through science and technology, and let young people feel the fun of football in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

In the finals, the young players used skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting to hit or carry the ball over the screen and randomly displayed targets and obstacles on the ground. Unlike playing on a real field, the virtual targets and obstacles in the training room move quickly and in large numbers, testing the technical versatility and reflexes of the young players.

The immersive experience space allows the young players to be "immersive" and truly feel the atmosphere of the field. A young player said that there were dynamic music effects and shocking visual pictures on the scene, imagining the appearance of speeding on the scene, restoring the trajectory of the field and making him closer to his favorite team.

According to the Beijing Social Sports Management Center, the event witnessed the superb skills of the football teenagers, and the collision of modern technology and football training showed the perfect combination of football and scientific and technological innovation, which not only provided a high-quality football experience for the public, especially the majority of young people, but also made an important contribution to the healthy development of football.

It is reported that similar events will continue to be promoted in the future to enhance the participation and influence of mass sports activities and further promote the popularization and development of sports. (ENDS)
