Former wrestler Tammy Sytch, known as Sunny Sytch, was sentenced on Monday to 17 years in prison for a traffic accident she suffered a year and a half ago and in which a 75-year-old man died.

The WWE legend, 50, had been in prison since May 2022, accused of drunk driving and causing an accident in March of that same year in Ormond Beach, Florida, that ended the life of Julian Lasseter.

According to TMZ, Sytch crashed his car into the victim's, who was stopped at a traffic light. The fighter exceeded the permitted alcohol level and was charged with eight counts, including driving with a suspended license.

Although Sytch initially pleaded not guilty to all of them, last August he reached a plea bargain, but without admitting guilt.

Finally, on Monday, a Volusia County court sentenced her to 17 years in prison and eight years of probation, according to TMZ, which also claims that her driver's license has also been permanently revoked.

During her statement to the court, the fighter broke down in tears and asked for forgiveness from the victim's family: "I know that my words are not enough, but know that I think of you every day," she said, according to the aforementioned media.

Tammy Sytch was one of WWE's biggest stars in the 90s until years later when she jumped into adult content and porn movies. His life has been surrounded by controversy and he has suffered several arrests.
