The opener at home to Frankfurt ended in a 2–1 defeat, after a late reduction by Olivia Schough.

On Wednesday night, Rosengård fell again in the Champions League group stage. Away to Portuguese league leader Benfica, there was another loss.

After a goalless first half, Benfica took the lead early in the second half. Kika Nazareth ran through Rosengård's defense before she made it 1–0.

Missed Giant Positions

In the final stages of the game, Rosengård got two great opportunities to equalize, first through Mai Kadowaki and then Bea Sprung on the rebound.

However, Benfica's goalkeeper Lena Pauels resisted and kept a clean sheet.

"It was a close game but we weren't good enough in the final third. We have to set our positions," Olivia Schough said on DAZN's broadcast.

After two games played, Rosengård is last in the CL group, which is topped by reigning champion Barcelona.
