Which driver will add his name to the list of winners of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, one of the most anticipated races of the season? The start will be given this Sunday at 7 a.m. (Saturday 22 p.m. local time), with Charles Leclerc starting from pole position. The Ferrari driver is aiming for his first win of the year.

Place your bets, nothing goes right! Formula 1 stops this weekend in Las Vegas, the world capital of gambling, and if Ferrari had mishaps during free practice on Friday with its driver Carlos Sainz, it is Charles Leclerc who will start (this Sunday at 7 am in France, Saturday at 22 pm, local time) in first place, ahead of the new triple world champion, Max Verstappen. The Monegasque took his 23rd pole position on Saturday, during qualifying.

It's an exercise he has mastered, as in the last four Grands Prix, Charles Leclerc has taken three pole positions and a second place on the grid. It is now time to make all this a reality for the French-speaking pilot. "We didn't do a lot of laps, with a lot of fuel in the car. But the few laps weren't too bad, so I really hope that this is the race that we manage to convert into a victory," he told Canal +.

Pierre Gasly's (Alpine) fine fourth place

The Monegasque will have the inevitable Max Verstappen at his side, as his teammate Carlos Sainz, second in qualifying, has been penalised and will only start in the middle of the grid. George Russell took his Mercedes to third place alongside Frenchman Pierre Gasly, who put on a stunning display. The Alpine driver will start fourth, his best performance of the season in qualifying. Also of note was the impressive performance of the Williams, who will start fifth and sixth.

On the other hand, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Sergio Perez (Red Bull) simply missed each other and will start 10th and 11th respectively. Among the underperformers, we also find the McLarens of Lando Norris (15th) and Oscar Pïastri (18th).

This starting grid promises an exciting Grand Prix with quite a bit of overtaking. Even if, in the end, at the roulette wheel of Las Vegas, F1 fans will be tempted to bet once again on the number 1, Max Verstappen.
