Victor Nilsson Lindelöf, 29, left Västerås SK as an 18-year-old after bringing the club up to Superettan the season before. Since then, the defender has played abroad and spent the last few years at the big club Manchester United.

But after VSK took the step back to Allsvenskan, the Swedish national team captain admits that a return to his home club could be on the cards within a few years – provided that the team is still in the top league.

"We'll see how the body feels in a few years. I don't want to come home and play half-injured and not perform at a good level, says Victor Nilsson Lindelöf.

But if VSK is in the Allsvenskan. Are they your obvious choice?

"Absolutely, I think it will be. To come home and play for VSK would have been a lot of fun. Should it be the case that I want to come home, it is at the top of the list.
