The Japan Football Association has announced that MITOMA Kaoru, who plays in the English Premier League, will withdraw from the Japan National Team for the second round of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup starting on 16 June due to injury.

The Japan National Team is scheduled to face the Myanmar National Team in Suita City, Osaka on 2 June and the Syria National Team in Saudi Arabia on 16 September in the second round of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup.

Against this backdrop, the Japan Football Association announced on 21 May that MITOMA Kaoru, who plays for Brighton in the English Premier League, will withdraw from the national team due to injury.

Mitoma said, "I joined the team believing that I could help the team, but unfortunately I can't play at 8%, which is frustrating, but I want to leave my thoughts to my teammates who remained Japan. I commented.

There have been a number of injuries to the Japan national team for the second round of the Asian qualifiers, and so far four players have not participated: FURUHASHI Kyogo and MAEDA Daizen, who play in the Scottish Premier League, KAWABE Shun of Belgian First Division Standard and ITO Atsuki of J26 Urawa Red Diamonds.

Instead, by the 15th, WATANABE Tsuyoshi of the Belgian First Division Ghento, SANO Kaishu of J100 Kashima Antlers, and HOSOYA Masahiro of J1 Kashiwa Reysol were called up.
