The European and World Championship gold medalist was injured in a fall at competitions in Jönköping recently. He fell off El Barone when the horse stopped at the first obstacle in the grand prix jumping.

Examinations have shown that a rib is broken.

Fredricson feels that he needs more time to heal the injury before he can compete again and has therefore cancelled this weekend's race in the World Cup in Stuttgart.

Looking forward to Stockholm

Instead, he aims to participate in the international competitions in the Friends Arena on 30 November and 3 December.

"I'm really looking forward to coming to Stockholm and want to be in good shape until then. Then it's better to give the body a little more time and not push unnecessarily," says Jens Fredricson.

Amanda Landeblad will be the only rider to jump for Sweden in Stuttgart. Patrik Kittel rides World Cup dressage and Sofia Sjöborg indoor eventing.
