"It's really nice to be able to go on break with this hard-fought victory. It has been a tough period and nice to take this with us in the break and get a good kick back, says Skövde's Moa Andersson to the Handball League live.

Skövde, who have now finished playing before the home World Cup in Gothenburg, ended a four-game losing streak while Önnered had a chance to take over the series lead. Without taking it.

"We weren't good enough"

Tindra Sahlin Wallenius threw herself forward on the line and shot 25-23 with 18 seconds left. Önnered's Fanny Elovson scored 25-24 but then the game clock stood at 60.00 and there was not even cheering for the goal.

"We lost it in the second half. We were not at all at the level that wants to play but far below. We weren't good enough. Even though there was a 20-minute break in the second half, we should be able to win on a difficult away pitch, says Önnered's Siw Aabech disappointedly.

Injury and direct red card

At the score of 19-19 with ten minutes left, an accident occurred that resulted in a longer interruption. Önnered's Elin Österwall, 18, drifted towards the penalty area and got stuck in a twist after a contact with a Skövde player and was left lying down with violent pain and took to the knee.

She then had to be taken out of the arena on a stretcher. The break was extra prolonged because they were waiting for an ambulance to arrive. She still remained in the hall with crutches.

Skövde's Ebba Hägg got a direct red card after the melee.
