It was a modest seventh place for Rosengård in the Damallsvenskan. But tomorrow, the team will face German Frankfurt when the Champions League group stage kicks off.

Then Rosengård will have to do without several players. According to Sydsvenskan, six players could miss the Frankfurt match due to injuries.

"We have a chance regardless, but of course it would have been bigger if everyone had been whole. Not least considering who is gone, says sports director Therese Sjögran to Sydsvenskan.

"We don't have the financial resources"

Among other things, first goalkeeper Eartha Cummings is long-term injured and other injuries at the goalkeeper post have forced Rosengård to take out goalkeeper coach Shannon Lynn in the squad.

"The big Champions League clubs have three goalkeepers in the squad, so they can handle an injury easier than we do. We don't have the financial resources," says Therese Sjögran.

Rosengård plays in the same CL group as Barcelona, Frankfurt and Benfica.

SVT broadcasts Rosengård-Frankfurt tomorrow starting at 18:30 on SVT2 and Play.
