According to journalist Brett Okamoto, White noted that Oliveira is the main contender for the fight with the Russian.
"The fight will only take place when both fighters are ready," the UFC president said.
Recall that Oliveira withdrew from the title fight at the UFC 294 tournament with Makhachev due to injury.
On October 21, the Russian defended his lightweight championship title for the second time in a row in fights with Australian Alexander Volkanovski. At the tournament in Abu Dhabi (UAE), he defeated the fighter by knockout in the first round.
