WHEN AND WHERE THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE DECIDED:

The Women's European Championship will be played from 28 November to 15 December 2024 and will be held in three countries: Switzerland, Austria and Hungary.

The three host cities are Basel, Innsbruck and Debrecen.

The three host countries are directly qualified along with the defending champion Norway.

THE EXPERT ON THE SWEDISH TEAM:

"There will be great opportunities for many inexperienced players to gain experience. I'm thinking of players like Nina Koppang, Daniela de Jong and Tyra Axnér. But the player that I think will be most interesting to see is goalkeeper Irma Schjött, who has impressed greatly in Danish Ikast in the Champions League and in the league, says SVT's expert Magnus Grahn.

"It's also great that players like Nina Dano and Olivia Mellegård are back after long-term injuries

"The most important thing for Sweden is to find their first line-up, which will also be prepared for the upcoming World Cup in December. There are not so many matches and training before the World Cup, so the match against the Faroe Islands will also be important in that aspect. The match will thus be a start of the World Cup preparations, according to Magnus Grahn.
