On Monday morning, the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games ticket office put 2.8 million tickets on sale. Advocating a "genuinely popular" ticketing service, prices should be between 15 and 100 euros, excluding the opening and closing ceremonies.

The ticket office for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games opened on Monday morning, offering nearly 2.8 million tickets for sale on a first-come, first-served basis, for prices ranging from €15 to €100, excluding the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. "I really want to encourage all our compatriots to buy tickets," French President Emmanuel Macron said on Sunday after a small crowd bath at the Place de la République, during a day dedicated to parasports in Paris.

Of these more than two million tickets, 60,000 will be accessible seats, and 12,000 will be reserved for wheelchair users. This responds to "all the demands", justified the organisation of Paris-2024 to explain this low figure. Potential companions will also need to bring a ticket.

"Discovery Pass" at 24 euros

The ticket office for the Olympic Games, initially opened by two draws, had generated frustration with prices considered prohibitive by some. The Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, recalled that "300,000 tickets" for the Paralympic Games would be distributed "to schoolchildren".

Last August, the president of the French Paralympic and Sports Committee (CPSF), Marie-Amélie Le Fur, praised from AFP a "truly popular" ticket office, with "half of the tickets priced at less than 25 euros". Some 80% are also advertised at 50 euros and less. "Discovery passes", at 24 euros, are also available to attend several disciplines in the same day, as well as an offer for families with discounted tickets for children.
