The final match of the men's volleyball qualifiers for the Paris Olympics took place on the 8th, and the world No. 4 Japan, who has already qualified for the Paris Olympics, took a full set against world No. 2 USA, but lost 2-3 to finish in second place in their group.

In the men's volleyball qualifiers for the Paris Olympic Games, the top 24 teams in the world rankings will be divided into three groups of eight teams and played in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the Olympic Games.

Japan, who qualified for the Olympics by winning their sixth match, faced the United States, who have also qualified for the Olympics, in their final match held in Tokyo on 8 September.

In the Japan, captain ISHIKAWA Yuki and NISHIDA Yushi were removed from the starting line-up, and the team played with a young line-up, and lost the first set 3-2 at the mercy of their opponents' various attacks.

However, in the second set, Ishikawa, who came on as a substitute, scored in quick succession to take a 6-8 lead.

Japan continued their momentum and won the third set 1-19, but came back from 25-2 in the fourth and the match went all the way to the full set.

In the fifth and final set, Japan chased the match, with Kento Miyaura and 25-year-old Yuto Kai scoring spikes in quick succession, but the United States escaped with a 22-3 victory.

Japan, who lost the set count 25-19, finished the tournament in second place in the group with a 4-23 record after the entire schedule, achieving their goal of qualifying for the Olympics.
