It was during the last training session in jumping before the final sessions before the heptathlon final that Jessica Gadirova got hurt. She first chose to sit out the heptathlon final, and then Saturday's two event finals.
Now it is clear that she will miss all individual finals, including Sunday's. This is announced by the British Gymnastics Federation.
"I'm so disappointed that I won't be able to compete for the rest of the World Championships. Representing my country means everything to me. But I know that I have to see my gymnastics long-term and that this is the right decision, says the star.
Jessica Gadirova is the reigning European champion in jumping.
