Manchester United have been struggling lately, to say the least. Last weekend they fell at home to Crystal Palace and on Tuesday Galatasaray proved too difficult in the Champions League.

They were on their way to another defeat against Brentford. The visitors took the lead in the 26th minute when Casemiro was careless with a play, Brentford took care of the ball, played in the penalty area where an unfortunate Victor Nilsson Lindelöf failed to clear the ball. An equally unfortunate Onana in the home box was on the wrong foot and saw the ball roll in via his hands.

That stood until injury time when midfielder Scott McTominay, who came on as a substitute in the 87th minute, suddenly stepped up and scored twice, one in the 93rd minute, the other in the 97th.

United lifted everything they had in extra time, and heavily criticised centre-back Harry Maguire, who played from the start, reached the ball with his head and McTominay was able to head in his second.

Good for Manchester United who were on their way to a third straight home defeat.
