Hangzhou, 9 Sep (ZXS) -- The individual table tennis competitions of the Hangzhou Asian Games were fully launched on 28 September. In singles, Wang Chuqin and Fan Zhendong swept their opponents to advance to the men's singles round of 28, while Sun Yingsha and Wang Yidi easily won and joined hands to advance to the women's singles round of 16. The Chinese pairs that competed in the mixed doubles, men's doubles and women's doubles competitions also successfully advanced, and two of the mixed doubles pairs have reached the final four.

In the men's singles event of table tennis at the Hangzhou Asian Games, two players of the Chinese team, Wang Chuqin and Fan Zhendong, were both empty in the first round, and on the 28th, the two completed their men's singles debut at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

In the second round of the men's singles knockout round, Wang Chuqin defeated Thailand's Tan Matikorn 4-0, while Fan Zhendong defeated Tajikistan's Mahmoudov 4:0 to win the first men's singles victory at the Hangzhou Asian Games, while Wang Chuqin and Fan Zhendong advanced to the men's singles round of 16.

In the men's singles round of 16 list, there are also some old opponents of the Chinese team. Japan's Tomokazu Changmoto, who also lost the first round, defeated Kazakhstan's Kurman Galiev 4-1 in the second round of knockout in the men's singles.

As in the men's singles, the women's singles first-round match was also a bye for Chinese players Sun Yingsha and Wang Yidi. In the second round of the women's singles knockout round, Sun Yingsha easily defeated Pakistan's Fuad 4:0, and Wang Yidi defeated Vietnam's Nguyen Ke Miao Khanh 4-0 to advance to the round of 16 of women's singles.

China's former rival Mimato Ito did not participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games, and another Japanese player Hina Hayata is the highest-ranked foreign player in the women's singles, and Hina Hayata also successfully advanced to the round of 16 of the women's singles.

Overall, Chinese players did not encounter too many challenges in the singles event, and the promotion process was relatively easy.
