Masanao Yoshida of the MLB Red Sox had three hits against the White Sox in Boston on the 23rd, but it did not lead to a victory.

Yoshida, who started the game in left field in the fifth, hit a hit to center field in his first at-bat of the second inning, extending his hitting streak to four games.

In his second at-bat in the fourth inning, he bounced off the right line and hit a two-base hit. Cubs Seiya Suzuki contributes to victory with hit that triggers the tying run

Seiya Suzuki of the Cubs went 4-for-1 against the Rockies in his home game of Chicago, but his hit on base tied the game and contributed to the come-from-behind victory.

Suzuki, who had three hits in the previous day's game, moved up the batting order to No. 3 and entered the game with lights.

In the first at-bat of the first inning, he had a big hit to center with two outs at third base, but he was blocked by good defense in front of the fence. In the second at-bat, he fell to shortstop, but in the third at-bat of the sixth inning, trailing 5-1 with one run, he hit a hit in front of center by the first batter to reach base and then hit a timely homer to tie the game. His fourth at-bat in the seventh inning was a strikeout.

Suzuki went 1-for-2 with a batting average of 2.3.

The Cubs came from behind to win the game, 1-6, and won their second straight game. They remain in third place in the wild-card competition to qualify for the playoffs.

Cardinals Nutebar no hits in the starting lineup

The Cardinals' Lars Nootvar started the game against the Padres in San Diego and threw a no-hitter.

In his first two at-bats, he was hit by a double play, and in the fifth inning, he was struck out by a double play at second base with one out. In the fourth at-bat of the seventh inning, he picked up a foreball, and in the tenth at-bat of extra inning, it was a light fly.

He threw a four-hit no-hitter and his batting average was 1-for-2.
