Kolo Muani desperately wants to go to Paris

Striker Randal Kolo Muani from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt is pushing his move to French football champions Paris Saint-Germain. "A move to Paris is now a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. I would like to move to Paris and have also informed those responsible," the France international told Sky TV on Tuesday and at the same time asked for his approval for a transfer: "I hope and wish that Frankfurt will agree to the offer from Paris and that this change will now be made possible for me."

According to a Sky report, Frankfurt had just rejected an offer from PSG for 80 million euros for Kolo Muani. The 24-year-old himself is said to have agreed a five-year contract with Paris weeks ago. The summer transfer window ends this Friday. Kolo Muani's contract with Eintracht runs until 30 June 2027, and Frankfurt reportedly want to reach a transfer fee of at least 100 million euros with the World Cup runners-up.

"I owe a lot to Eintracht Frankfurt. I've taken the fans to my heart and have always behaved in a top professional manner," said Kolo Muani on Sky: "I always gave everything for the club until the end. It's no secret, though, that Paris Saint-Germain have made a record offer for me."

According to reports in the "Bild" newspaper and Sport1, the attacker's statements are not well received by the bosses of Eintracht. It was speculated that it was an interview not authorized by the association. Initially, there was no confirmation of this. Coach Dino Toppmöller is reportedly planning to continue with Kolo Muani for Thursday's Conference League play-off second leg against Levski Sofia, it was said. The club does not want to be put under pressure.

Pavard already in Milan

Defender Benjamin Pavard will leave the German football record champions Bayern Munich after a long tug-of-war in the direction of Inter Milan. According to information from the »Gazzetta dello Sport« and Sky Sport, the transfer of the France international will be officially announced on Wednesday. Pavard himself shared a story on Instagram on Tuesday evening showing his landing in the Italian metropolis.

The 27-year-old ruled out an extension of his contract, which runs until 2024, this summer and has since insisted on a move. According to media reports, the transfer fee will be 30 million euros plus 2 million euros in possible bonus payments.

The Bavarians had hesitated until the end with a release for Pavard. "His wish is deposited, but he is our player. FC Bayern is taking the lead," coach Thomas Tuchel recently stressed. Accordingly, they only wanted to let the 2018 world champion go if an adequate replacement was available.

HSV will probably go one step further

Second division leaders Hamburger SV are strengthening their ranks again shortly before the end of the transfer window. According to several media reports, HSV are loaning Poland's Łukasz Poręba from French runners-up RC Lens. There should also be a purchase option for him. Defensive midfielder Poręba only moved to France last summer, but was unable to make a decisive impact. The 23-year-old made ten appearances for the Poland U21s in his career.
