The first half was goalless, but already after eight minutes Piteå captain Fanny Andersson was lying down and writhing in pain. Andersson was tackled by Vittsjö's Katrina-Lee Gorry, had his foot wrapped and was really annoyed at the break.

"I think it's a really ugly tackle. I find it strange that there is no card on it actually. But luckily I was able to keep playing," she told Viaplay.

The first goal came just over ten minutes into the second half after carelessness in the Piteå defense. They lost the ball to Clara Markstedt and then Hanna Ekengen put in the rebound.

In the 69th minute, Sandra Lynn made it 2-0 from close range and just two minutes later Markstedt extended the lead.

"We thought it was an offside goal, but the referee judges," says Piteå's Ellen Löfqvist about the 2-0 goal.

Piteå reduced the penalty in the 80th minute through Anam Imo. At the end of the game, there was a lot of irritation and as many as four yellow cards were handed out in the last five minutes of regular time.

Löfqvist criticizes the judge.

"I think it's sad that mixed levels are allowed. One second it's a free kick and in another tougher situation it's not," she says.

Vittsjö are seventh in the Swedish women's league table, but they are only three points up on Hammarby who are third.
