Rebecka Blomqvist left Kopparberg/Gothenburg after the 2020 season – before BK Häcken came into the picture. In the German big club, playing time has been scarce. Blomqvist herself has confirmed that she will leave the German club after the summer – but has since also opened up about staying.

On Wednesday, she was at Bravida Arena during Häcken's training – in Häcken clothes.

Are you on your way to Gothenburg?

"No, that's not why I'm training and wearing Häcken's shirt," says the national team striker.

She says that it is all about training herself in shape for the World Cup – and that Häcken lets her train with the team.

"It's no more than that.

What happens to the future?

"Unfortunately, I can't answer that now, but we'll see.

But you're going to leave Wolfsburg?

"I can't answer what's going to happen.

Do you know what's going to happen?

"I can't comment on that," says Blomqvist.

What Blomqvist does know is that she will play in the World Cup for Sweden this summer.

"I followed the selection and it was positive news. Of course very nice that it is ready. You've had it in the back of your mind for a year that you want to play in the World Cup.
