The Denver Nuggets are just one more win away from the first NBA title in their history. The basketball team led by Serbian star Nikola Jokić won their third victory in the fourth game of the final series against the Miami Heat with a 108-95 victory. In the home game on Tuesday night, the Nuggets can already make everything clear.

The team from the US state of Colorado did not need an exceptional performance from Jokić to win, who finished the evening with a yield of 23 points, twelve rebounds and four assists. The best scorer for Denver was Aaron Gorden with 27 points, Jamal Murray had 15 points and twelve assists. Bruce Brown recorded 21 points as a substitute.

When a dunk causes imbalance

"Today was a team effort. We still need one," Murray said. We have to stay focused. Once we've done that, we can talk a little longer and relax."

"We've done our job, but we're not celebrating yet," Denver coach Michael Malone said: "We have to go home, turn off the TV and radio, not read a newspaper and not listen to anyone tell us how great we are. Because we haven't achieved anything yet."

A crooked basket had caused a minute-long interruption in the third quarter. Heat player Bam Adebayo hung on the basket after a failed dunk, after which the referee team demanded an inspection.

Using a spirit level and other tools, a man brought the basket back into the desired position. Because a spectator was taken out of the interior on a stretcher immediately after the repair, the game was interrupted for more than seven minutes.

Is Miami coming back again?

The Heat, on the other hand, cannot afford another defeat after the second home defeat in a row. Except for the beginning of the game and for a short time in the second quarter, they were never in the lead and were constantly chasing the Nuggets. Jimmy Butler finished the game with 25 points, Bam Adebayo had 20.

Miami made it into the final series as eighth in the main round and knew how to surprise a few times, the team from Florida can now afford no further defeat. The only win of the series, however, came from home, in the second game in Denver.

After a 1-3 deficit in the NBA Finals, there was only one team that became champions, according to ABC: the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 against the Golden State Warriors.
