Chinanews.com, June 6 -- The website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released the "Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the General Office of the General Administration of Sports on Holding the National Hemei Rural Basketball Tournament (Village BA)" on the 7th, saying that in order to promote the construction of livable and workable villages and the high-quality development of farmers' sports, it was decided to organize and carry out the National Hemei Rural Basketball Competition (Village BA).
The competition is guided by the Department of Rural Social Undertakings Promotion of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Department of Mass Sports of the General Administration of Sports, sponsored by the China Farmers Sports Association and the Group Department of the All-China Sports Federation, and provided technical support by the Chinese Basketball Association.
The principles of organizing the competition include: adhere to the main body of farmers. Respect the will of the masses, fully mobilize the masses, form teams with farmers as the main body, and let farmers participate more and be happy. Adhere to pragmatism and simplicity. Make full use of the existing venue and facilities to hold the competition in a simple manner, without extravagance and waste, without arbitrary fees, and without increasing the burden on grassroots and farmers. Adhere to safety and order. Always tighten the string of safe hosting of the event, scientifically design emergency plans, comprehensively eliminate hidden risks, and ensure the safety and order of the event. Adhere to the agricultural fun and agricultural taste. The organization of the event fully shows the characteristics of the countryside, reflects the local charm, and does not greed for the ocean and does not make superficial articles.
The competition is divided into three stages: grassroots competition, regional competition and grand final.
Stage 6: Grassroots Competition (June-July). Each province uses agricultural leisure to organize grassroots village basketball games on its own, and the organizational form is self-determined, and there are no hard and fast requirements. Encourage all localities to combine events with agricultural seasons and folk festivals, with local culture displays, agricultural product exhibitions and rural tourism, and organize basketball games in rural areas, agricultural interest and agricultural taste. Those who have already carried out provincial competitions may not be held repeatedly.
Phase 8: Zone Round (August-September). Each province will launch two teams as provincial teams to participate in the regional tournament as provincial representative teams. Four divisions are set up in the southeast, northeast, northwest and southwest of the country, and provincial team competitions are carried out in sub-divisions. The winning teams from each division advance to the third stage of the finals.
Stage 10: Grand Final (October). The first National Hemei Village Basketball Tournament (Village BA) Finals will be held in Taijiang County, Guizhou Province.
The specific arrangements for the regional competition and the finals will be notified separately by the China Farmers Sports Association and the Group Department of the All-China Sports Federation.
