Sentenced last week to one year in prison for domestic violence, the right pillar of Montpellier will not play the Rugby World Cup 2023.

Fabien Galthié called Mohamed Haouas, convicted last week for domestic violence, to warn the right pillar of Montpellier that he would not play the World Cup (September 8-October 28) with the France, announced Wednesday the coach of the Blues.

"Last week, when he got out of prison, I called him, I talked to him. I listened to him. I told him that he would not be selected. He told me that he understood, that he apologized to the players and the staff," Galthié told a news conference.
