Amandine Henry, 33, who has not been selected since December 2020, is one of the 26 players on Renard's pre-list, which includes Eugenie Le Sommer or Kadidiatou Diani but not Kheira Hamraoui. The final list will include 23 players. Deprived of injuries to strikers Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Delphine Cascarino, Renard trusted Diani and Le Sommer in attack, but also Clara Matéo and Viviane Asseyi.

Top scorer of the D1 season (17 goals), Diani has been injured in a shoulder since the end of March, but she must be back on her feet by the World Cup.

Hamraoui left at the dock

The Parisian Sandy Baltimore was however excluded, in favor of the novice Vicki Becho (19 years old, Lyon) and the young Naomie Feller (21 years old, Real Madrid). In the middle, Hamraoui is not summoned, as at the first gathering of Renard in April, just after his appointment to replace Corinne Deacon, disembarked. This sector of play will be occupied by Henry, Kenza Dali, Laurina Fazer, Grace Geyoro, Oriane Jean-François, Léa Le Garrec, Sandie Toletti and Amel Majri, who should travel to Australia with her daughter born in July 2022, a first with the Blues.

Around captain Wendie Renard, who will play her 4th World Cup, the defense is not very surprising, with Selma Bacha, Estelle Cascarino, Elisa De Almeida, Sakina Karchaoui, Eve Périsset, Maëlle Lakrar and Aïssatou Tounkara, back despite a draw at Manchester United.

Lyon's Griedge Mbock, injured for a long time, is logically absent.

Four goalkeepers were summoned for three in the final list: N.1 Pauline Peyraud-Magnin, Mylène Chavas, Constance Picaud and Solène Durand.

Les Bleues start their training camp on June 20 and enter the World Cup on July 23 in Sydney against Jamaica.
