After saying goodbye to Béla Réthy, Claudia Neumann will comment on the men's Champions League final on 10 June on ZDF. A corresponding report by the "Bild" newspaper on Tuesday was confirmed by ZDF spokesman Thomas Hagedorn on dpa request. This will be the first time that a woman will comment on the men's premier class final in Germany. The 66-year-old Réthy had retired at the beginning of January. In addition to Neumann, presenter Jochen Breyer and experts Per Mertesacker and Christoph Kramer will also be on duty at the season's highlight in Istanbul.

Neumann had recently commented on matches of the Men's World Cup in Qatar. The 59-year-old sat in the press box at the match between the USA and Wales at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Al-Rajjan wearing a black T-shirt with a heart printed in the colours of the rainbow. She also wore a colorful bandage on her arm, also in the colors that stand for diversity and tolerance.

The Champions League final will also be broadcast on the streaming channel DAZN. There, commentator Uli Hebel and expert Michael Ballack will accompany the game.
