World champions runners-up France kicked off their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign in Germany with a thrilling 4-<> victory over the Netherlands on Friday in the first round of Group B matches.

In the other match in the same group, Greece beat Gibraltar with a clean treble.

At the "France" stadium, the "Roosters" team decided the victory since the first half, as it ended ahead with a hat-trick signed by Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann (3), Bayern Munich defender Dayot Opamecano (8), and Kylian Mbappe, the new captain of France and top scorer Paris Saint-Germain in the 22nd minute.

A minute before the end of the match, Mbappe starred and scored his second goal and France's fourth.

With his two goals against the Netherlands, Mbappe climbed to fifth place in the list of scorers for his country, and reached the goal number "38" in 67 games for the "Roosters", surpassing the record of former French international Karim Benzema, who scored 37 goals.
