The reporter learned from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports that on the morning of March 11th, the table tennis championship, the first event of the 2023 Beijing Youth U Series Championship, kicked off at the Yanshan Sports Center, marking the start of this year's Beijing Youth Championship. The battle for the Youth U-Series Championship has officially begun.

  According to gender and age group, there are 16 competition groups for men and women U18, U14, U13, U12, U11, U10, U9 and U8.

The competition lasted for 4 days (March 11, 12, 18, and 19). A total of 1,045 young athletes signed up for the competition. The top 16 athletes in each individual event will be eligible for this year's Beijing Youth Championship.

  As the first game of this year's Youth U Series Championship, the young contestants fully demonstrated their competitive level and good mental state, swayed their youthful sweat on the passionate field, and launched an impact towards more excellent results.

All referees and staff arrived at their posts in advance to fully organize the event and ensure the safe and orderly progress of the game.

  The 2023 Beijing Youth U-Series Championship is sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports and the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and undertaken by the Beijing Sports Competition Management and International Exchange Center and relevant units.

There are 31 summer events including track and field and gymnastics and 4 winter events including short track speed skating and figure skating.

The holding of the event will be a powerful measure to further promote the integration of youth sports and education in the city, and play an important role in realizing the "double improvement" of youth physical health and competitive sports level.
