Djurgården needed to win to stay alive in the quarter-final series against Leksand.

Then Nicola Eisenschmid stepped forward and scored two goals in the 3–1 victory.

First, she made it 2–0 in the first period when she tapped in a rebound and at the start of the third period she extended it to 3–0 on the power play.

Leksand reduced through Fanny Brolin but didn't get any closer than that.

- We skated more and put more pressure on them.

We still make some mistakes that have to be corrected, but we are fighting more than the last match, says Djurgården's Wilma Germundsson Wäng to SVT Sport.

"We have the upper hand"

Leksand, who have not been in the semi-finals since 2015, won the first quarter-final and now await a decisive quarter-final on Sunday.

- It is always difficult to win the first game, we have everything to win and I think we have the upper hand for the next game, says Germundsson Wäng.
