Japan's Tsubaki Miki and Ryusuke Shinohara pair advanced to the final tournament in the snowboard world championships, parallel slalom mixed team, but lost to the Austrian pair in the first round.

The world snowboarding championships were held in Georgia on the 22nd with a mixed group parallel slalom.

Parallel slalom is an event in which two athletes skate on two parallel courses at the same time to compete for the fastest time.

The female skater who skates later is to start either after the male skater reaches the finish line or after a pre-determined penalty time has elapsed after the opponent has scored, and the competition was set at 1.50 seconds.

Miki, who won the gold medal for the first time as a Japanese athlete in the parallel giant slalom at this year's tournament, competed in a pair with Shinohara and passed the qualifying rounds to advance to the finals.

In the first round, which was against the Austrian pair, Shinohara had a lead of more than the penalty time.

She started with a difference of 1.50 seconds, but Miki caught up with a stable turn, but fell short of 0.43 seconds and was eliminated in the first round.

The winner was the Italian pair of Aaron Marhi and Nadia Oquenell.

In addition, the pair of Tomoka Takeuchi and Masaki Shiba was eliminated in the preliminary rounds.
