Magdalena Eriksson has been in the starting eleven in both the national team and her club team Chelsea for a long period.

But the last three months in England have not been a bed of roses.

In the last eight competitive games for Chelsea, the left-back has only been allowed to play in four and now the 29-year-old gives his view on it all.

- There are many different reasons that I don't really want to go into here and now, but it has definitely been boring to get less playing time.

It's something I'm not used to.

The contract expires in the summer

The national team star says that she had to work a lot on the mental side.

- I've had to work on myself, my personal mindset, with my willingness to train and make sure I'm as prepared as I was when I played.

It's an incredibly big lesson for me to find ways to deal with it.

Despite the limited playing time, Eriksson says that she is in good shape right now.

- I still feel strong mentally and ready and hope for more playing time when I get home to the club.

To the club where the contract expires in the summer and Eriksson is tight-lipped about what awaits then.

- Unfortunately, I do not want to comment on my contract situation.

There isn't much to say.

Right now I'm fully focused on taking one day at a time.
