Kristoffer Jakobsen is by far Sweden's best male slalom skier, and a key person if Sweden is to be able to win a medal again in the team competition - where they have a silver medal to defend from the WC 2021.

But Jakobsen, who has crashed in four out of eight competitions this winter, is not in top physical form.

Unclear if it affects the competition

Today he was supposed to take part in a press meeting before tomorrow's competition, but he was forced to cancel it.

"Krille is smelly and therefore we choose to rest him," writes the Swedish Skiing Association's press officer Lisa Johansson in a message.

Whether the cold threatens Jakobsen's participation in tomorrow's team competition is still unclear.

Besides Jakobsen, there is only one other male Swedish men's skater in the WC squad: Mattias Rönngren.

And in the team competition, two men and two women are required.
