With just over a week until the WC, the news came that Jesper Nelin had injured his neck.

Because of that, he has been forced to adapt his training ahead of the championship in German Oberhof.

- It is a disk that has been irritated.

I have no problems at the moment but I have had to adjust my training, I couldn't really shoot at home.

There were two shifts that were pure disasters before I got here.

But since I came here, I've gotten into it, says Nelin to SVT Sport.

Despite neck problems, Nelin believes that the conditions for Saturday's sprint are good.

He has two top ten finishes in the World Cup individually this season as well as a second place in the relay.

- I wouldn't say that anything has changed.

I think I have a good chance, better than ever I would say given the way the shooting has been this year.

In addition to Nelin, Sebastian Samuelsson, Martin Ponsiluoma, Emil Nykvist and Peppe Femling will run Saturday's sprint.

- We obviously have high expectations.

We have had a podium place on both the women's and men's side this year, so it is clear that this is a goal we have now as well.

That we should join and fight for medals, says head coach Johannes Lukas.
