Gao Zhidan, Director of the State Sports General Administration and Secretary of the Party Group, and Wang Ruilian, Deputy Director of the State Sports General Administration and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group, jointly unveiled the China Sports Arbitration Commission.

  The China Sports Arbitration Commission is the only arbitration institution in the country that specializes in handling disputes in the field of sports, established by the State Sports General Administration in accordance with the law.

The first committee consisted of 15 members.

The chairman of the committee is Wang Ruilian, deputy director of the State Sports General Administration and deputy secretary of the party group.

Members include responsible comrades from the Legal Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Court, and the Fourth Intermediate People's Court of Beijing, as well as authoritative experts who have long been engaged in sports law research and representatives of sports workers such as athletes, coaches, and referees , with broad representation and professionalism.

  Gao Zhidan pointed out that the establishment of the China Sports Arbitration Commission marks the realization of the sports arbitration system stipulated in the Sports Law, and provides a strong organizational guarantee for resolving disputes in the sports field and ensuring the healthy and orderly development of sports.

It is necessary to promote the implementation of the sports arbitration system from the perspective of maintaining political stability in the sports field, resolutely safeguard the authority and impartiality of sports arbitration institutions, ensure that sports arbitration activities are carried out independently, and ensure that effective sports arbitration awards are implemented.

  Wang Ruilian said that the first session of the committee bears the historical responsibility of creating sports arbitration from legal provisions to institutional practice. It is necessary to improve political standing, fully understand the importance of sports arbitration work, and give full play to the institutional advantages and comprehensiveness of sports arbitration with Chinese characteristics. functions, continuously improve the quality of work, and make sports arbitration institutions and sports arbitration businesses bigger and stronger.

  After the establishment meeting, the China Sports Arbitration Commission held the first plenary meeting of the first session of the committee, deliberated and approved the committee charter, the main responsibilities of the secretariat's internal agencies, proposals for the composition of special committees, and the appointment and management of arbitrators.
