Tampa Bay took the lead in the opening minutes of the game.

However, Erik Karlsson equalized shortly afterwards.

But then things got worse for visiting San Jose and at the first period break the home team led 3-1.

A goal in both the second and third period, with an assist by Karlsson in the latter, took the match to overtime.

After barely two and a half minutes of play, Karlsson was there again and passed to Timo Meier, who scored his second and decisive goal of the match.

The final score is written 4-3 to San Jose.

- He did what he does best - finding the pass.

I just had to poke it in, says Meier and Karlsson's decisive performance.

Tampa Bay's Victor Hedman was credited with an assist.
