Anamarija Lampic, formerly one of the world's top sprinters, announced this spring that she is switching sports to biathlon.

Surprising according to many - not least considering that this year's cross-country WC is being decided in her home country of Slovenia.

But this weekend there was information that the 27-year-old could make a comeback as a cross-country skier during the WC in Planica.

- There is a process going on.

And you can interpret it however you want, said Ola Vigen Hattestad, national team coach for the Slovenian cross-country team, to Expressen.

But now Lampic himself goes out and denies the information in a post on Instagram.

"Ok, here's the situation, arrived at the venue for my first biathlon world championship, which I'm really looking forward to, although illness almost prevented me from doing it, I'm still happy to be part of the team that will representing Slovenia.

I will use every second to experience it as much as possible and learn as much as possible.

At the same time, I say that this is my ONLY championship this season, so I leave Planica out”
