The conditions in the qualifying group:

Basketball EC 2023 will be decided in Israel and Slovenia.

Sweden qualifies in group J together with Israel and Latvia.

To qualify for the EC, Sweden needs to win the group or be one of the four best group runners-up.

- Sweden was already in a bad position after the opening loss against Latvia and now two victories are needed in the two remaining matches to progress.

If Sweden wins its first game against Israel, which it must to have a chance, the team has everything in its own hands to advance if it beats Latvia by big numbers.

Two questions for the national coach:

How do you see your chances of going to the EC?

- We have gone back and forth, but the chances have increased for us.

In Uppsala in November, when we lost, the chances were very slim, but now we've got players back from injuries (including Nathalie Fontaine), says Robin Sandberg, one of three national basketball team coaches.

- The match against Israel will be more important, so we have something to play for against Latvia.

If there is a loss there, the EC dreams are over.

What do you need to improve to move forward?

- We need to be more aggressive and dare more.

It will benefit us in the offensive game and get an earlier finish.
