It became highly dramatic when Pål Golberg, Simen Hegstad Krüger, Johannes Hösflot Kläbo and Haralds Östberg Amundsen settled for the victory in Toblach.

Krüger came close to clinching victory in the closing stages, but Golberg won by three tenths of a margin and just five seconds down to fourth place.

Eight Norwegians were on the starting line and seven of them finished in the top seven.

Sjur Röthe was the only one who "failed" and finished tenth.

The Swedes far behind

For Sweden, the results list was not a fun read, even though the distinguished sprinter Edvin Anger put in a spirited effort and finished in 17th place.
